Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

The data controller for the data collected through IoVendoCasa.it is Omegamaria LLC (referred to as "IoVendoCasa.it", "we"). For any privacy-related request you can write to privacy@iovendocasa.it.

2. Data we collect

  • Registration data: first name, last name, gender, email address, preferred language, password (stored encrypted).
  • Listing data: title, description, price, address, city, province, square meters, number of rooms and bathrooms, energy class, contact phone and email, uploaded photos and documents.
  • Payment data: for optional paid features (contact unlock, document unlock, featured listing) payments are handled by third-party providers (Stripe and/or PayPal). We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
  • Technical data: login session cookies, light/dark theme preference stored locally in your browser (localStorage), IP address and access logs for security purposes.

3. Automatic translation

When you create a listing, the title and description text may be sent to the free third-party service MyMemory (api.mymemory.translated.net) to generate a suggested Italian/English translation, which you can always edit manually. Only the listing text is transmitted, not your personal data.

4. Purposes and legal basis

  • Creating and managing your account and publishing listings — performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
  • Processing payments for optional paid features — performance of a contract.
  • Security, fraud and abuse prevention — legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6.1.f).
  • Responding to support requests — performance of a contract / legitimate interest.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g. financial records related to transactions).

6. Data sharing

Your data may be shared with: payment service providers (Stripe, PayPal), our hosting provider, and the automatic translation service mentioned in section 3, only to the extent necessary to provide the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Your rights

As a data subject you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port your data and object to processing, under articles 15-22 of the GDPR. You can exercise these rights by writing to privacy@iovendocasa.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

We only use technical cookies required for the site to function (login session) and local browser storage (localStorage) to remember your theme preference. We do not use profiling or third-party marketing cookies.
